Use the checklist before your formal readiness review

The NCA ECC Readiness Preparation Checklist is intended to help security and IT teams organize evidence, ownership and remediation activities before a formal assessment or internal readiness exercise. It is not a certification tool and does not replace interpretation of the applicable NCA requirements.

Use it to identify obvious gaps in governance, risk management, identity, endpoint protection, network security, logging, incident response and evidence management. For each area, assign an owner, record the current control state and capture the evidence that demonstrates implementation.

Who should use it

The checklist is useful for IT managers, cybersecurity teams, compliance owners and project leaders who need a practical starting point for coordinating NCA readiness activities. Organizations with complex environments should combine it with a structured gap assessment and remediation roadmap.
